This is step 1 to looking ahead and goal planning for the 2020 season. Let's review where we went wrong, where we went right, where we fell off, and where to go from here. Let's evolve.
*This is not goal planning. Try to resist the urge to look forward quite yet, so that we can really learn from 2019. This is a journey and we will make the most progress if we learn before we move on. As you work your way through the review process, make sure that you address each topic through as many lenses as possible: swim, bike, run, strength, resilience, mental training, focus, confidence, nutrition, hydration, sleep and other recovery modalities.
If you are a new athlete for me and we didn't go through the 2019 season together, try to reflect on these questions within the context of your last coach (or training program) and the ways that you navigated the season.
Take your time filling this out. I want you guys to put some thought into it. For all 1-on-1 athletes, let's aim to have these done before December so that we can go over them together before we move on to 2020 goals. For custom plan athletes, use this as a personal reflection on your season.
